Terms of service
These terms apply when you use Tapback, either to give feedback or to run feedback forms for your business or event. By using Tapback you agree to them.
Demo status
Tapback is currently a demonstration project, not a commercial product. No contract of sale is formed by using it: plans, payments and invoices are simulated unless we tell you otherwise in writing, no money is taken in demo checkout, and demo data may be reset or deleted at any time. The sections below describe how the service would work once it launches.
1. The service
Tapback lets businesses and events (“organisers”) create short feedback forms that people open by link, QR code or NFC tag, answer by swiping and optionally by voice or text, and may be rewarded for. Organisers see results and AI summaries.
2. Giving feedback
- Be honest and respectful. Don't submit unlawful, abusive or other people's personal content.
- Rewards are offered by the organiser, not by Tapback. The organiser decides the reward, how it is redeemed and any limits (for example one reward per phone per 12 hours). Codes have no cash value unless the organiser says so.
3. Business accounts
- You must be 18+ and able to act for the business or event you add. You are responsible for your team and what they do in your account.
- You are the controller of the feedback you collect. You must tell participants who you are, use the data lawfully, and honour the rewards you offer. Our privacy policy describes how we process data for you; our data processing terms (Art. 28 GDPR) are part of these terms.
- Don't use Tapback to collect sensitive data, to mislead people, or to send spam.
4. Plans, seats and AI credits
- The Free plan is free. Paid plans (Pro and Business) and extra seats are billed monthly in advance, in euros, excluding VAT, through Stripe. They renew automatically until you switch back to Free.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time under Plan & billing. Cancelling takes effect at once; we don't refund part months.
- Each plan includes a monthly number of AI credits. One AI action (reading a site, drafting a form, a summary, an answer to a question, or tagging one participant's comment) uses one credit. Unused credits don't carry over. When credits run out, AI features pause until the next month or an upgrade; feedback is still collected.
- We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period.
5. AI
Summaries, tags and suggestions are produced by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before acting on them. Don't rely on them for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people.
6. Your content and ours
Your forms, rewards and collected feedback belong to you. You give us permission to host and process them to run the service. Tapback, its design and software belong to us.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Tapback available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may improve or change features; we'll give notice of changes that take something important away.
8. Liability
Tapback is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Ending
You can stop using Tapback and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. After closure you can ask for an export of your data within 30 days.
10. Law
These terms are governed by Estonian law. Disputes go to Harju County Court, unless consumer law gives you the right to use your local courts. EU consumers can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
